People, safety, quality, safety and the environment: the secrets of a winning method

WCM (World Class Manufacturing) is a methodology the objective of which is constant improvement of performance in the production process by eliminating waste and improving quality, safety, people’s working conditions and respect for the environment. The approach calls for interaction with the factory's entire organization, starting with safety issues and continuing onto quality and maintenance systems, the optimization of logistics and the organization of workstations.
The system involves a series of periodic assessments by certified auditors aimed at verifying the results achieved by the plant, at the end of which a score of 0 to 100 is assigned. The best plants are awarded prizes that range from bronze to silver, gold and world class. WCM has been adopted by many of the most important companies in the world.
