Teksid is a global leader in the production of iron and aluminum components for the automotive sector.
2017: Teksid H. de Mexico and Teksid do Brasil receive the Cummins partner category award for the quality of the castings provided, the delivery accuracy, the support during the development of new products and the price competitiveness. The few suppliers who reach this level have priority in developing new products.
2016: Teksid do Brasil is considered by the “Ethos Institute” as a point of reference in socio-environmental management. Ethos is a non-governmental association that checks the level of involvement of Brazilian Companies in social and environmental responsibility issues.
2014: Teksid H. de Mexico receives from Cummins the "Environment Management Award" due to investments in sand regeneration.
2014: Teksid do Brasil receives the indication to "Prêmio Rei" promoted by the Automotive Business magazine. The award is due to investment in the production of aluminum blocks and to the increase in the production capacity of cylinder heads.
Originally known as Ferriere Piemontesi and owned by Fiat since 1917, the company was renamed Teksid in 1978 following the merger of all of the Group’s iron and casting activities under one roof.
One of the world’s largest producers of gray and nodular iron castings, Teksid is also a leader in production technologies for aluminum cylinder heads and engine components.
Today, Teksid has seven plants (four in Europe, and one each in South America, Central America and China) and two business lines:
