On Saturday, December 2nd at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, Italy, the new Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 team – formed through a partnership between Alfa Romeo (a brand of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) and Swiss racing team Sauber – unveiled its new concept livery.
In the presence of Sergio Marchionne, CEO of FCA, and Pascal Picci, President of Sauber Holding AG, the names of the team’s two drivers, Marcus Ericsson and Charles Leclerc, were also announced.
Beginning with the 2018 Formula One World Championship season, Alfa Romeo will return to being a key player in the world of racing, which has long been an integral part of the brand’s DNA. Throughout the Italian brand’s history, its fans have experienced incredible emotions due, in part, to the World Championship titles won by drivers Nino Farina and Juan Manuel Fangio aboard the legendary Tipo 158 and Tipo 159.
Alfa Romeo has begun writing a new chapter in its 107 year history with the event held at the Museum in Arese which, on June 24, 2015, was the venue for the world premiere of the new Alfa Romeo Giulia, a vehicle that represented a new paradigm and the maximum expression of the “Meccanica delle Emozioni”.
March 2018 is an appointment not to be missed by Alfa fans – ready to experience new emotions together.
