  • Global quality through World Class Manufacturing

Created in Japan, theorized in America, “perfected” in Italy,

WCM is the common language that unites all of the factories of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and CNH Industrial throughout the world. Its objective is quality

The Fiat WCM Development Center in Turin is home to the culture of manufacturing and process quality spread throughout the world through the WCM Academies and the Manufacturing Training and Consulting Team

Just as quality food requires good ingredients, so is the production process based on methodology to produce quality” H. Yamashina

Adopted by Fiat starting in 2005 with the aim of improving the production system by reducing waste, increasing productivity and improving working conditions, World Class Manufacturing is not a project but rather a constantly evolution program that grows and perfects itself using the contributions of all involved each day.
The WCM Development Center in Turin is the place where, working in close collaboration with the world’s top universities, new methodologies are developed and tested and training is provided to the individuals who then spread throughout all of the world’s various facilities.
The Manufacturing Training and Consulting Team is the group of “professional trainers” responsible for transferring WCM best practices and know-how WCM to all sectors of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and CNH Industrial around the world, as well as amongst the suppliers and external partners who belong to the WCM Association. The WCM Academies are the places where employees learn, according to an interactive approach, to use the tools and methods of World Class Manufacturing.
