Moreover with its inclusion in CDP’s 2016 Climate “A” List, the Group has been recognized once again as a global leader for its commitment and performance in addressing climate change.
Every year, thousands of organizations participate in the CDP initiative, which provides an independent assessment of their approach and performance in combating climate change. Only 9% of participating organizations were included in this year’s “A” List. The results were published today in the CDP Global Climate Change Report “Out of the starting blocks: Tracking progress on corporate climate action”, which tracks the recent progress of the world’s largest listed companies.
The Group’s commitment to sustainability has also been recognized by other prestigious organizations.
FCA is also member of the Euronext Vigeo Europe 120 index, established in collaboration with NYSE Euronext, which is composed of companies rated by Vigeo – on the basis of 38 criteria and approximately 330 indicators – as the best performers in terms of controlling corporate responsibility-related risk and contributing to sustainable development.
In addition, the Group has also been included in the STOXX® Global ESG Leaders index for the past three years. Based on a comprehensive set of KPIs provided by Sustainalytics, a leading global sustainability rating agency, the index model enables investors to fully understand which factors determine a company’s Environmental (E), Social (S) and Governance (G) ratings and their respective importance. Each of these three sub-areas (E, S & G) is represented in a separate index and the three indexes are aggregated to form the overall STOXX ESG Leaders index.
FCA is also a member of several other major sustainability indexes, including: Ethibel Sustainability Index (ESI) Excellence Europe, ECPI Euro Ethical Equity, ECPI EMU Ethical Equity, ECPI Global Developed ESG Best-in-Class Equity. In 2013, the Group also entered the Parks GLBT Diversity Index.
