Minority-Owned Dealers Programs


We are extremely proud of our recent success in the increasing number of minority-owned FCA dealerships across the United States. We are dedicated to the development and growth of minority dealership owners, and have set up a number of programs to further the careers of our candidates.

  • Future Dealer Candidate Development Program
    Existing minority managers learn all aspects of owning and operating a dealership.

  • National Dealer Council Representation
    To ensure representation, we reserve one seat for a minority dealer on our National Dealer Council.

  • National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers (NAMAD)
    Each year, the Company makes a significant donation to NAMAD to support training and education programs for minority dealers. Learn more >

  • Chrysler Minority Dealers Association (CMDA)
    As an organization made up of FCA minority dealers, CMDA provides subsidized dealer training initiatives, business networking and coaching opportunities for FCA minority dealers. Learn more >



Supplier Diversity


Supplier Diversity


In addition to the minority dealership programs, we embrace the ingenuity that comes from having every perspective at the table and are committed to providing opportunities for diverse suppliers. Since 1983, the Company has purchased nearly $80 billion from minority-owned, women-owned and veteran-owned suppliers. In 2018, FCA US spent $9 billion with more than 300 diverse suppliers.

Our supplier diversity goals require that up to 8.5 percent of a tier-one supplier's buy be sourced to certified minority-owned businesses, 3 percent sourced with women-owned businesses and 1 percent sourced with veteran-owned businesses. The Company provides advocacy and consulting services to certified LGBT-owned and disable-owned suppliers.

Our dedication to supplier diversity has led us to create innovative programs, such as our annual MatchMaker event, which provides minority-owned, women-owned and veteran-owned businesses access to our leadership and buyers, tier one suppliers and leaders from advocacy and certifying organizations. Now in its 20th year, MatchMaker has generated more than $3.0 billion in new business opportunities for minority, women and veteran-owned suppliers.

In 2018, FCA US received the following honors for its supplier diversity efforts:

  • Corporation of the Year from the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

  • Best-In-Class for Excellence in Supplier Diversity from the Great Lakes Women Business Council

  • Top Corporation Gold from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council

  • Advocate of the Year from the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

FCA Foundation

The FCA Foundation, the charitable arm of FCA US, invests in U.S. charitable organizations and initiatives that help empower people, build strong, resilient communities and generate meaningful and measurable societal impacts.

Since 2009, the FCA Foundation has made nearly $30 million in grants to a wide range of local and national nonprofits, focusing on four foundational pillars: youth development, education, support for veterans, active military and their families, and community service.

The FCA Foundation conducts annual research on charitable initiatives that align with its objectives and foundational pillars. Grant proposals are by invitation only.

Motor Citizens

Beyond financial contributions, FCA US encourages its salaried employees in the U.S., Canada and Mexico to donate their time, energy and expertise in the communities where they live and work.

Through the Motor Citizens volunteer program, FCA US employees can spend 18 hours of paid time off to volunteer for individual and company-sponsored programs. Motor Citizens volunteers have been instrumental in supporting disaster relief efforts, mentoring, cleaning up streams and rivers, packaging and delivering food and other supplies to those in need, and supporting hundreds of other community service initiatives. In 2018 alone, employees volunteered nearly 60,000 hours of support.
