FCA – Campo Largo Engine Plant is one of the largest and most modern mid-size engine factories in Latin America. The plant has a total surface area of 1.3 million m2 (covered area of 50,000 m2) and installed capacity of 330,000 engines a year. The plant operates according to the principles of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and it was awarded WCM Bronze in 2013.
The E.torQ engine family is the result of over 500,000 hours of development, including 20,000 hours of reliability testing on dynamometers, 9,000 hours of calculations and five million kilometers of durability, reliability and application testing. More than 100 FCA engineers from Brazil and Italy worked on the project.
