A Special Series that Captures the Fashion Soul of Fiat’s City Car.

December 28, 2018 - Like all leading fashion houses, Fiat has also presented the fall-winter “collection” of the 500. Conceived at the Fiat Design Center, the brand is targeting this new version, with stunning fall-inspired styles and materials, at a more male audience.
In fact, for the launch campaign of the new Collezione, Fiat chose L’Uomo Vogue magazine, a trend-setter for men styles and fashion, with which the brand shares the same values of elegance and attention to detail.
Over the course of more than half a century, these two Italian brands have been leading proponents of fashion and design, setting new trends and exporting Italian creativity around the world. Since its creation in 1957, the Fiat 500 has been the undisputed embodiment of style and originality on four wheels. In the same way, L’Uomo Vogue, has been the international point of reference for male lifestyle for over 50 years. Together, these two icons continue to reinvent themselves and keep pace with rapidly changing times, all without losing their distinctive identity. The Fiat 500 is a timeless vehicle, always capable of innovation and surprise.

The Allure of Italian Style

Fiat chose Milan, the capital of Italian fashion, for the launch of this new fall-winter version. And what better place than Rinascente, in Piazza Duomo the department store which has long been the showcase for Italian fashion. The store served as the backdrop for the presentation to the press during an event that featured a constant interplay between the worlds of fashion and automobiles. While L’Uomo Vogue models were showing off fashions from various 2018-2019 fall-winter collections, the elegant Fiat 500 Collezione was strutting its stuff on screen in a video shot on the streets of Milan’s fashion district, giving guests a look at the two-color “Brunello” version, with its “Opera Bordeaux” and “Carrara Gray” livery and 16” copper-colored rims that match the elegant pinstripe down the sides of this beautiful car.
During the press conference, Luca Napolitano, head of Fiat and Abarth in EMEA, underscored the bond that unites the 500 and Italian fashion with a retrospective of this Fiat success story. Over the course of more than 60 years, the 500 has brought a little piece of Italy to roads around the world. Sales have been growing steadily, with the car setting a January to September record in 2018 with 160,000 units sold. The Fiat 500 is the leading A-segment car in 11 European markets and among the top three in its segment in five other markets. Since its debut in 1957, more than six million cars have been sold, a testament to the fact that it is a timeless classic. The Fiat 500 continues to be the most winning Fiat ever!

In the same way that the major fashion houses offer new collections every season, the Fiat 500 is also proposing a new look. Having donned the colors of spring earlier in the year, the new Collezione is dressed in fall and winter colors. Available with panoramic glass roof or gray soft-top, its one-of-a-kind liveries include the two-tone “Brunello”, as well as one-color versions in Opera Bordeaux, Carrara Gray, Vesuvius Black, and the new Cortina Gray.
Bold and elegant, the Fiat 500 Collezione features a chrome molding on the hood and 16” alloy rims standard in a copper color that matches the pinstripe wrapped around this stunning little car. The chrome “Collezione” logo is also emblazoned on the back hatch like a designer’s signature, a throwback to the spring version.
Fashionable touches abound inside the vehicle too such as the black and bordeaux pinstriped fabric in the seats and the 500 logo embroidered in the same color on the upper seat back. On the dashboard, which matches the color of the bodywork, there is also a bold copper-colored stripe that matches the exterior pinstripe.
On-board technology ensures passenger comfort. The Fiat 500 Collezione sports parking, rain and dusk sensors, and a Uconnect 7” HD Live radio set up for Apple CarPlay and compatible with Android Auto, an integrated GPS navigator with 7” TFT display, and the Beats Audio Hi-Fi system are all available upon request.
Under the hood, the Fiat 500 Collezione is available with a 1.2L, 69 hp engine, also available in a gasoline/LPG version, with Dualogic clutchless sequential gearbox and paddle shifters, or with a 0.9L, 85 hp TwinAir engine.
